Kearney and literary activist Kadija Sesay, with special guest Shukrani Gray, Director of the African American Collection of the New Orleans Public Library, will help celebrate Mahalia Jackson’s 111th Birthday as they discuss her life, her successes and her experiences as she sought success in a world not shaped for a woman like her.
